Our pastures and paddocks are all fenced with specific horse fencing such as wooden rails covered by no-climb wire, no-climb wire, or three rails. Our pastures range from one acre to 30 acres each. Almost all the pastures have grass in the rainy season and a few are irrigated year round. Most have access to a run-in shed.
Feeding is good quality hay twice daily, plus whatever grass is in their pasture. We can accomodate special feeding needs, but may have to separate horses that require unique feeding programs.
We board mares, pregnant or open, and work with veterinarians to breed mares according to the owners desires. We have good facilities for taking care of mare and foal. Usually, we keep 4 or 5 mares and foals together in irrigated pastures with run-in sheds. We also keep weenlings, yearlings, 2-year olds and 3-year olds together with others of the same age in pastures with run-in sheds. We keep retirement horses in paddocks or pastures according to the horses needs. We have found some do well in small groups of 2 to 4, while others go in groups of 8 to 10. They all have shelter from storms in winter and summer sun.
